Description

From 1 July 2023 the UA (Universal Analytics) property will no longer process the data, so it is necessary to switch to GA4 to monitor visits to your ecommerce, so we have developed this free module that integrates all the basic functions of GTAG.

The advantages of GA4 over UA:

  1. More intelligence, GA4 uses machine learning and is able to follow the customer journey across multiple devices.
  2. It allows you to seamlessly integrate with Google's advertising platforms and maximize your marketing ROI
  3. The property is focused on respecting privacy

Update 1.0.1: Improved compatibility with PrestaShop 8.0
Update 1.0.2: added ecommerce events: add_to_cart, purchase and view_item (only for PS 1.7 or higher);
Update 1.0.5: ability to select Vanilla JS instead of jQuery for tracking the add_to_cart event.
Update 1.0.6: Small fix to prevent entering an empty GTAG.
Update 1.0.7: Fix for free products.

Notes: tracking the add_to_cart event requires the jQuey libraries (in module versions prior to ver. 1.0.5) loaded by the template in use. Learn how to include jQuery.
