A new version of the Teacher's Card POS module has been released, which integrates the new WSDL and resolves communication issues with Teacher's Card voucher verification and validation endpoints.
Apart from the integration of the new WSDL, the module does not have any other major changes from the 1.2.5 version for the 2023/2024 school year. The only difference is the passing of the 'cache_wsdl' => WSDL_CACHE_NONE parameter to SOAP calls to force the loading of the new file.
Those who purchased the module within the 12-month support period will be able to download the update for free. Those who purchased it on PrestaShop Addons and have Business Care active will be able to access the update through the same platform. For those who do not have active support, they will need to repurchase the module or subscribe to Business Care on PrestaShop Addons to get the upgrade.
In the case of customized or not yet updated versions of the module, it will be necessary to request an intervention from us, at the cost of a support ticket (69.99 euros + vat). If the installed module is prior to the 1.2.5 version, we strongly recommend contacting us via helpdesk@tecnoacquisti.com for assistance.
Yes of course, we recommend backing up the site first, but if your version is pre 1.2.5 or modified it is recommended that you ask us for assistance. You can also independently modify the form you are using by uploading the VerificationVoucher.wsdl file directly to the root of the form, you can download the file from here. Be aware that the version provided by SOGEI as of today's date 18/10/2024 contains an error.
If by replacing the file you still get the error, most likely a cache copy of the file itself is loaded, ask your hosting provider to clear it(The WSDL file cache in PHP is handled by PHP's caching system), otherwise you need to disable it in the SOAP call of the form.
SOGEI without giving any notice has changed the WSDL file, this is an XML document that provides all the information needed to interact with a SOAP web service, specifying data types, operations, messages and endpoints. Such a file where to be provided by the service manager, it is in fact the responsibility of the person running the SOAP-based web service to create and make available the WSDL file to allow clients to properly integrate with the service.
Unfortunately, SOGEI not only did not warn, but provided either the old WSDL file from 2016 or a new file dated August 28, 2024, but pointing to localhost (this was up to today's date October 18, 2024). As a result, the file had to be corrected manually and without guidance from the service provider, which was complex and time-consuming, but fortunately made possible by the fact that the WSDL changed only in namespaces, which was without any explanation.
Virtually no useful compared to the 2016 WSDL, in practice they changed:
Don't ask me the point of the change, technically I see no motivation to change namespaces after years without even giving notice. Creating a similar inconvenience for all merchants and teachers affected by the Teacher's Paper bonus. This, however, is what has happened in practice.
