Blue Mail is a comprehensive and advanced free email client that can manage an unlimited number of accounts. The app is available for iOS, Android, Linux, and Windows, and compared to the most popular apps, it has a huge advantage in mobile environments as it allows you to configure aspects of your email account and resolve authentication issues where many iOS and Android clients fail to connect due to security concerns.
How to set up your email account?
With the majority of free emails such as Gmail, Outlook, Libero, Virgilio, etc., there will be no differences compared to the iOS Mail APP or Gmail on Android. The configuration we are going to see concerns business email accounts where it is necessary to set the CRAM_MD5 encoding for sending the password not in plain text.
To manually configure the email once the APP is installed:
- Click on "Add account"
- Enter the username and password of the email and uncheck "Automatic". Click Next.
- Select IMAP as the protocol in our case.
- Configure the IMAP email server address with the parameters provided by our provider.
- Select security as SSL/TLS and authentication as CRAM_MD5, and set the port to 993.
- Continue the configuration for outgoing SMTP mail, setting the port to 465.
The configuration is complete, and we can receive and send mail via Blu Mail.
