Publishing House Espera
Edizioni Espera is a publishing house attentive to the needs of every author. It has its roots in the early 2000s within the Archaeological Bookstore of Rome. The founders were archaeologists, so the majority of publications were of an archaeological nature. In 2016, it was taken over by an all-female team that created a new graphic design but maintained an editorial line related to archaeology and ancient history. The motto of the publishing house is: telling the past to understand the present and future. Through its publications, Edizioni Espera seeks to keep alive the interest in the history of humanity and its origins. It has collaborations with universities, museums, private and public institutions, making its way in the Italian publishing scene.
Publications
Among the scientific series, Espera has published the volume "Disappeared Cities of Sabina," which collects new data and information on some interesting and representative historical sites in the area, such as Roccantica and Poggio Catino near the Tancia pass between the municipalities of Monte San Giovanni, Caprignano in Casperia, Lucus in Poggio Mirteto, and the Curtis dei Lauri near Montasola. For each site, a diagnostic analysis has been conducted, retracing the most significant and eloquent historical milestones. In some places, it has been possible to understand the stories of characters, specific events from the past, and the daily life of ancient sites that have now disappeared.
Children's editions
Edizioni Espera supports series dedicated to scientific dissemination alongside educational texts about antiquity aimed at younger audiences. An example is "Nero and the Mystery of the Copper Beard." A book different from all the others. It tells the adventures of a child who decides to uncover, along with his friends, an ancient mystery related to his father's name. The story takes place in ancient Rome, and the main subject is none other than Nero, the historical figure accused of burning Rome and killing many people. Nero has often been portrayed as a madman, fat, and ugly, whereas history tells us he had copper-colored hair and beautiful green eyes. An engaging book to read, but it also narrates the true story of the most controversial Roman emperor of ancient Rome. An original and fun way to introduce children to reading and the world of history. Edizioni Espera supports a scientific dissemination project to tell even the youngest about the history of evolution. Flavia Salomone, a collaborator of the Espera publishing house, has strongly believed in this work, leading to the writing of her text "Once Upon a Time...Homo. From Homo naledi to Argil to Homo sapiens." The questions the Author seeks to answer through this book are: Who are we? Where do we come from? When did language originate? The language is simple and suitable for young readers who are discovering our origins. The book follows the success of the previous one and will guide every child to discover the most famous fossils found and our ancient ancestors.
Project QuantoBasta
The flagship project of the Espera publishing house is undoubtedly the QuantoBasta editorial project, which consists of the creation of practical pocket manuals. Excellent work tools always available for use that will not make you give up on accuracy. Despite their size, the manuals remain as complete as possible and have been designed for students, professionals in the field, and enthusiasts. QuantoBasta, with its six small tools, aims to offer a valuable help, no matter how small.
Edizioni Espera provides all scientific, humanities, and historical faculties with texts for universities and bibliographic information for all disciplines and sectors:

Among the subjects covered are texts on Christian, Roman, and early medieval archaeology. Books that touch on various historical moments, from prehistory or protohistory to modern and contemporary history. In addition to the themes addressed, the publishing house is also attentive to the selection of authors, who are often chosen from the academic world, including researchers and university professors. The selection is always careful, with a focus on the quality of both content and form. Currently, foreign authors are not being published. Other notable publications
Among the most important collaborations to highlight, one cannot fail to mention the series dedicated to the Central Museum of Paleontology, strongly desired by Luigi Pigorini. Many great historical museums built in Europe presented the history from the prehistoric period up to contemporary popular cultures. In 1923, thanks to Pigorini, the Prehistoric Ethnographic Museum experienced extraordinary development, occupying the entire third and part of the fourth floor of the building.
