To adapt our PrestaShop site to the general regulation on GDPR data protection, the first operation to be carried out is to install the GDPR module, in the case of PrestaShop 1.6.X we can opt for our PrestaShop Free GDPR compliance module [RGPD 2016/679] , while for PrestaShop 1.7 we can install the official PrestaShop module for free.
STEP 1. REGISTER A USER ON IUBENDA
Let's connect to the site http://iubenda.refr.cc/SJF8K76 and click on the Signup item at the top right, enter our email address and a password that we will use to access the service. We will receive an email with the procedure necessary to complete the registration.
Once logged in, click on the Dashboard item at the top and then on the Start generation item (green button) we will find the Website already selected, if it is not, select it, then enter the URL of our e-commerce and click on Start Generation .
STEP 4. WE SELECT ACTIVE SERVICES IN OUR E-COMMERCE
Let's start selecting the services installed on our e-commerce by entering the service to search for under Type here to filter , for example: Sale of goods and services online. And click on the + that appears to the right of the name after the Pro item. At the end, click on Save and close .
Our modules for GDPR compliance have also been reviewed by the trade press: idea WEB July 2018 from page 52 to page 55 . Where you can read the complete guide to GDPR compliance for PrestaShop.
STEP 5. WE ENTER THE DATA OF THE OWNER OF THE WEB SERVICE
Let's move to point 2 - owner of the website - and insert the data of the owner, if the company has appointed an RDP / DPO the contact details of the same will be included in this form. Once the fields have been filled in, click on Next to confirm the entry.
STEP 9. LET'S CONFIGURE THE ART IUBENDA MODULE
From the PrestaShop panel go to Desing -> Pages and then click on Edit to edit the CMS. Click on the View Source Code Icon to the left of the issue and insert the code <div id="artiubenda-privacy"></div> and click on Ok.
